Recently, a video about Park Seo-joon‘s past appearance on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” has resurfaced. From the actor’s remarks, some believe he was criticizing Kim Soo-hyun, who was embroiled in a controversy over alleged relationships with minors, because he discussed crimes involving minors on the show.
In particular, during the 2023 broadcast, Park Seo-joon mentioned that he served in Cheongju Prison and shared his experience, stating, “I realized that only a fraction of serious crimes actually become known to the world. I saw many people who showed no remorse. What shocked me the most was how common crimes against minors were. It was so disturbing that I decided that if I ever became successful, I would do something to help children.”

Meanwhile, YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute (Garo Sero) previously alleged that Park Seo-joon was jabbing at Kim Soo-hyun via an SNS update in the past and questioned the two’s friendship. Particularly, on March 16, Park Seo-joon had posted photos taken in Paris, captioned, “What did I do in Paris? Horizontal.”
At the time, the channel speculated that the caption had hidden implications, saying, “Kim Soo-hyun’s nickname was ‘YouTuber Kim Paris.’ He exchanged love letters with Kim Sae-ron, referring to each other as ‘horizontal and vertical.’ Park Seo-joon’s caption, ‘What did I do in Paris? Horizontal,’ seems to hint at this.”
On the other hand, Kim Soo-hyun has been embroiled in allegations that he had a romantic relationship with actress Kim Sae-ron from when she was a minor. The controversy arose after Kim Sae-ron’s family released a statement she had written before her passing but never posted, which claimed that she dated Kim Soo-hyun from November 19, 2015, to July 7, 2021.
While Kim Soo-hyun’s representatives denied the allegations, they admitted that he had started dating her after she became an adult. The dispute over the truth continues.
